DIN 3015-2 is the heavy-duty part of the block clamp family. It is selected when a standard clamp is not enough for pipe mass, support load, shock or vibration.
Typical projects include heavy machinery, metallurgy, shipbuilding, oil and gas packages, construction machinery and large hydraulic power units.
Typical use cases
- Large or heavy pipes and tubes
- Mobile machinery and high-vibration equipment
- Steel structures, welded bases and rail-mounted systems
- Applications where clamp stiffness and footprint matter
Selection notes
Check the pipe OD, operating pressure, vibration source, support spacing and base structure together. Heavy series clamps often need stronger plates, bolts and installation surfaces, not only a larger clamp body.
When to use damping inserts
If vibration or noise is a design concern, consider elastomer or cushioned inserts. The insert material must still be compatible with the fluid, temperature and outdoor exposure.
