Pipe clamp selection for wind power hydraulic and cooling lines
Wind turbine nacelles and tower sections combine vibration, low-temperature exposure and limited service access. Clamp selection should prioritise vibration control, secure welded bases and clear inspection access around hose transitions.
Material and environmentPP or PA inserts suit most hydraulic-oil and cooling-water lines; review stainless hardware for offshore or coastal wind projects.
Common selection risks
- Nacelle vibration and pressure pulses can loosen underspecified supports.
- Low-temperature startup requires insert materials that remain stable below freezing.
- Hydraulic and cooling lines often share compact routing channels.
Recommended clamp approach
- Use shockproof WQL G30 around pumps, valves and hose transitions.
- Use welded-base G2/G3 where the bracket position is fixed during tower assembly.
- Use stacking G18 only where inspection clearance is still available.
